SCORES of revellers closed off a residential road to throw a street party.
The residents of Hawthorne Street, in New Parks, Leicester, organised an afternoon of entertainment on Saturday to raise community spirits.
They were joined by residents of neighbouring Nook Street and Inglehurst Street.
The area was closed to traffic and a live stage was erected on the field at Inglehurst Junior School.
ELVIS An Elvis impersonator performed for the crowd along with Beatles tribute band the Fib Four, featuring staff from BBC Radio Leicester which broadcast live from the party.
