Budapest, July 1 (MTI) - Hungary's prime minister has nominated Karoly Szasz as the next head of the market watchdog (PSZAF), the government's spokesman said on Thursday.
Viktor Orban, head of the Fidesz-led centre-right government, earlier in the week held talks with Szasz, who led the watchdog between 2000 and 2004.
Adam Farkas handed in his resignation as the supervisory authority's head on Tuesday.
According to a recent newspaper report, Fidesz decided to replace Farkas, who was appointed by the Socialists, long ago.
