Section: Business News - Toyota has affirmed its confidence in Thailand in light of speculation it will be relocating production of its Fortuner utility vehicle by stating that it will be investing four billion baht in the country and manufacture 200,000 cars by the end of the year.
Toyota Motor Thailand President Kyoichi Tanada responded to reports in the media that the automaker will be moving production of its Fortuner utility vehicle out of the Kingdom to Indonesia.
Tanada denied the news, saying the only move the company will be making is relocating its Samrong facility to Baan Po.
