Miners to get 'second chance' on BEE goals Minister warns on losing licences Contributing Writer THE government and the mining industry said yesterday they had agreed to keep a target of 26% black ownership of mining companies to be achieved by 2014.

The ambitious target puts the industry under pressure during a fragile global economic recovery and mounting uncertainty on the outlook for commodity demand.
