GRAEME Gowland bounced back from a high-speed crash to cling on to fourth place in the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship at Mallory Park.

The Allendale rider crossed the line in sixth place at the Leicestershire circuit after his family-run PTR outfit worked into the night to fix his former Eugene Laverty Honda CBR600 machine.

Gowla had been on the pace from the offset as round five of the series got under way last Friday, sticking well within the top six in all of the free practice sessions.

Saturday's qualifying started off well, and he had been running in fourth place until disaster …
