RED-HOT Paul Hanagan notched up a treble at Hamilton yesterday on the back of an across the-card four-timer on Monday.

The Malton-based jockey is racking up the miles in pursuit of his quest to become champion jockey and is in the middle of a brilliant purple patch.

He got the day off to a great start by partnering Mayson (1-7 favourite) for his boss Richard Fahey in the Weatherbys Bank Maiden Stakes.

The Fahey-trained Gritstone (10-11 favourite) then found a gap up the rail in time to land the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Handicap, while Nigel Tinkler's Dubawi King (2-1 favourite) won the Racing UK Sky 432 Handicap.
