The Bionic Vet, BBC1, 10.45pm Reunited, BBC1, 9pm NCIS, Five, 9pm OSCAR the cat hit the headlines after having his back feet severed by a combine harvester and being given two prosthetic paws in a pioneering operation by a UK vet. As a result, this ultra-lucky black cat is going to be a must-see for most pet-loving TV viewers tonight.

The new feet are custom-made implants that "peg" the ankle to the foot and are bioengineered to mimic the way deer antler bone grows through the skin.

The operation - a world first - was carried out by Noel Fitzpatrick, a veterinary surgeon based in Surrey.
