The latest Yomiuri Shimbun online survey has some good news for the Democratic Party of Japan, but will not bring much cheer to the minor Your Party.

The survey found 42 percent of voters who backed the DPJ in last year's House of Representatives election plan to vote for the party in the proportional representation race of next month's House of Councillors election, up 17 percentage points from the previous survey.

The DPJ picked up this support mostly from undecided voters and those who had previously favored Your Party.
