As the three library systems in New York City awaited word regarding potentially devastating cuts to their operations budgets, Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) announced that it has received a $3,250,000 grant from the Leon Levy Foundation--BPL's largest donation ever--to establish an information commons at its Central Library.
