WHAT exactly is cloud computing? SITI SYAMEEN MD KHALILI finds out more about this phenomena that is fast gaining ground among businesses and even gamers.

SOME people say cloud computing is just a marketing term, yet many companies are adopting it and end-users use it without realising it.

Magnus Kalkuhl, a senior virus analyst at Kaspersky Lab's Global Research & Analysis Team, says: "Cloud computing comes in different shapes. If you are using Gmail, Microsoft Azure or Kaspersky solutions, you are already using cloud-based service and infrastructure." The benefits of cloud computing are clear.
