Foreign tourists spend 34% more, says Visa Transport and Tourism Editor TOURISM spend by foreigners in SA shot up an extraordinary 34% to $566m in the first quarter of this year compared to the same time last year, the latest data from international credit card group Visa show. Andrew Woodward, head of sponsorship and marketing communications at Visa, said on Monday the rise in spending was due to the general rebound in the economy and to fans planning their trips to SA for the World Cup.
