Coal of Africa 'disappointed' by mine study SIMON MUNDY Contributing Writer COAL of Africa (CoAL) MD Simon Farrell has described as very conservative an independent study of the company's key Makhado project in Limpopo, which suggested a coal resource 8,5% smaller than the junior coal miner's own previous estimates.

CoAL was obliged to commission two studies on its operations to complete a planned listing on the London Stock Exchange. The Mineral Corporation (MinCorp) was charged with producing a report on CoAL's main active mine, at Mooiplats in Mpumalanga, as well as the Makhado and Vele projects in Limpopo, which are both still in development. …
