Section: General News - The Foreign Affairs Ministry has expressed its disappointment to the US for including Thailand on its human trafficking watch list, the Bangkok Post reports.

Thani Thongphakdi, the foreign affairs deputy spokesman, on June 16 said the ministry had informed the US through its embassy in Bangkok and the Thai embassy in Washington of its disappointment at the US move. It also questioned the report's reliability.The US on Monday placed Thailand, along with Singapore, Brunei, Laos and Vietnam, on its human trafficking watch list, citing failures to protect women from being forced into prostitution.
