MEMBERS of Parliament yesterday had mixed reactions over the budget.
The opposition MPs described it as empty and a political budget intended to appease voters ahead of the general elections next year. The ruling party MPs called it excellent and meant to address sensitive areas of the economy.
Opposition Chief Whip Kassiano Wadri said: "This was a political budget. It does not apply to the principles of drawing and formulating a budget on the basis of income and expenditure. It does not analyse the micro and macro policies."
