BRISTOL Rovers target Richard Keogh is set to make a decision on his future in the coming days, with Colchester United believed to have edged ahead in the race to secure his services.

Former Bristol City man Keogh is out of contract at Carlisle United and has yet to sigh the two-year deal offered up by boss Greg Abbott.

Rovers boss Paul Trollope is keen to add to his defence after releasing Steve Elliott at the end of last season and is in a three-way fight with Scottish Premier League club Hibernian and Colchester.
