The tuner version of "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" has finally confirmed its North American plans, with a run in Toronto set for fall ahead of a spring berth on Broadway.
Tony Sheldon, who starred in both the original Aussie staging and the West End production, and Will Swenson ("Hair") will topline this continent's version of the show, which will play 12 weeks in Toronto before heading to the Rialto.
A big hit in London, "Priscilla" has long been tipped for the Main Stem. The Toronto staging was originally skedded for this spring but was pushed back to the 2010-11 season.
