Norbert Mao has again defeated a legal challenge to his election as the DP leader.

High Court judge Lawrence Gidudu yesterday dismissed an application by the former national chairman, Prof. Joseph Mukiibi and former DP vice-president Rainer Kafiire to nullify Mao's election in Mbale on February 21.

Mukiibi and Kafiire had said the conference that elected Mao was not valid.

They had also argued that the conference was not arranged by the national executive committee. They said the former party boss John Ssebaana-Kizito and the secretary general, Mathias Nsubuga, breached the party's constitution by calling the conference …
