from BUSINESS LINE, June 01, 2010 Bangalore, May 31 - About 400 investors are expected to sign the Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government of Karnataka during the Global Investors Meet to be held on June 3-4 at Bangalore.

These projects have already been cleared, according to Mr V.P. Baligar, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka.

"We are expecting Rs 4 lakh crore worth of investments during the global investors meet (GIM), which were cleared in high-level committee meetings," said Mr Murugesh R. Nirani, State Minister for Large and Medium Industries, adding that actual investments could go beyond Rs 5 lakh crore. …
