Former Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Donald Duke has refuted claims that he was arrested by the police in Cross River State.

Speaking to newsmen at his residence weekend in Calabar, the former governor said he was never arrested and that "there was even no attempt to arrest him."

Mr. Duke was reported to have been arrested while trying to commission the Mother and Child Hospital occupying the grounds of the defunct NRC secretariat along Murtala Mohammed Way in Calabar.
