While his wife keeps her eyes on land, Datuk Simon Foong of Aquaria KLCC plays his part in the conservation of oceans. He tells RACHAEL PHILIP that it starts with the rivers JUST back from the world's largest aquarium in Georgia, Atlanta, Datuk Simon Foong is brimming with ideas.

The chief executive officer and group managing director of Aquaria KLCC whips out his iPad to show the presentation he made on the flight back.

He wants to improve the petting tank, bring seals and penguins into Aquaria, and create a river sanctuary that will, he hopes, go a long way towards creating awareness on preserving oceans.

"We always look at rivers from top to bottom. I'm thinking of showing it from bottom to top," he says excitedly.

"Taking care of the oceans starts with the rivers. We must first learn to take care of our streams by using biodegradable washing liquids and not throwing …
