RECENT encounters with banks and bankers have made me come to the conclusion that they might just be Ah Long in sheepskin.

Let me give a few examples: * Credit card: hardly a day goes by without someone from a bank approaching me with offers of yet another card. This can be at a shopping complex, banks and even in a hospital. I politely declined, saying I need only one card for convenience and emergencies.

That did not stop two banks from sending me platinum cards.
