9 Chinese poachers caught off Palawan.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITYNine still unidentified Chinese nationals have been placed under the custody of the Coast Guard after they were caught poaching for marine turtles inside Philippine waters on Thursday off Balabac Island in the southernmost tip of Palawan.

The Chinese nationals, none of whom speak English, arrived Saturday morning at the port of Puerto Princesa City from Balabac aboard their wooden fishing boat marked only with the number 05022 and escorted by the Bureau of Fisheries patrol craft MCS 3002 manned by Coast Guard personnel.
