from BUSINESS LINE, May 26, 2010 Mangalore, May 25 - It was 76 hours after the crash of the Air India Express Dubai-Mangalore flight No. IX 812, that the digital flight data recorder (DFDR), known as 'black box', was found on Tuesday morning. The air crash happened at around 6 a.m. on May 22 and the black box was traced at around 10 a.m. on May 25.

After conducting intense search at the crash site for three days from May 22, the investigation team of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) recovered 'black box'. The cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and digital flight data acquisition unit (DFDAU) was traced on Sunday.
