Iraqi National Alliance [it should be Iraqi national Movement, aka Al-Iraqiyah List] leader Iyad Allawi, the winner of the elections in Iraq, disclosed that he served as a mediator between Kurdistan Regional Administration leader [President] Mas'ud Barzani and Turkey. Speaking to Sabah, Allawi said: "Approximately one year ago, I conveyed a quite positive message from President Abdullah Gul to Barzani. A similar response was returned."
