STUDENTS in Swansea are clearly in a glass of their own.

For the last 75 years, students from Swansea Metropolitan University's Welsh School of Architectural Glass have dominated the prestigious annual competitions run by The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass.

And this year has proved no exception, with three of them triumphing at the unique competition's awards ceremony at the Glaziers Hall in London.

The Award for Excellence was presented to third year student Megan Stacey, from Neath. The prize is a 40-week work placement within a variety of leading UK and European glass studios.
