A SCARECROW festival is being launched in Walton-in-Gordano to raise money for the village church and community hall.
The festival, the first of its kind in the village, is being organised by local resident Floss Morgan.
Mrs Morgan is a member of the newly-formed Walton-in-Gordano Social Club, which was set up to raise money for projects in the village.
She struck on the idea of launching the fundraising event after attending a scarecrow festival while visiting friends.
