Kenya Red Cross Society has appealed for more than 500m shillings [over 6m dollars] to assist 125,628 flood victims.

At the same time, the government has conceded the Crisis Response Centre was experiencing difficulty in tackling floods.

The crisis has so far killed 77 people and displaced more than 60,000 people.
