Irish Flame makes it a day to remember for De Kock Racing Editor TRAINER Mike de Kock reached the notable milestone of 2000 winners when his three-year-old Irish Flame proved too smart for the favourite, Pierre Jourdan, in Saturday's R1,5m SA Derby at Turffontein.

The longer the horse was in Joburg after coming up from the Cape the better and better he got, enthused De Kock as he was surrounded by well-wishers.
