Tokyo, May 11 Kyodo - The farm ministry said late Monday that Japan has resumed pork exports to Hong Kong, following their suspension due to the discovery last month of foot-and-mouth disease in pigs and cows in Miyazaki Prefecture.

Hong Kong authorities agreed to resume pork imports from Japan after it explained measures to prevent the spread of the disease, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said.
