Creative move for WBTV exec.

It's a big development for a long-serving Warner Bros. TV exec: Susan Rovner has been promoted to exec veep of development for Warner Bros. TV, where she'll be one of prexy Peter Roth's top lieutenants.

Rovner will oversee the studio's creation of primetime series for the broadcast networks and manage its comedy and drama development teams.

Rovner, who had served as senior VP of drama development at Warner Bros. TV since 2002, replaces Leonard Goldstein. WBTV announced last week that Goldstein was moving on to head up the Fake Empire shingle of Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage starting in June (Daily Variety, March 24).
