Hunt for new currency havens after euro zone's worst crisis

Global investors are questioning the wisdom of holding onto euros as Europe's deepening financial crisis forces them to search out other currency-market alternatives.

The 16-member euro zone is in the grip of its worst crisis since it was launched just over a decade ago. Signs are emerging that the debt woes hitting Greece are spreading to other members, and now currencies like the Singapore dollar are being mentioned as possible new safe havens.
