ANDY Burgess today revealed he had to put his family first in deciding to leave Mansfield Town.
The midfielder signed an 18-month deal when he joined, initially on loan, from Luton Town l ast November.
But that contract has been ripped up by mutual consent after Burgess took his concerns to boss David Holdsworth.
Burgess - who made just 18 appearances for the Stags and scored twice - said: "Soon after I signed for Mansfield, my circumstances changed and I moved to Liverpool for family reasons," he said.
