Thaksin Shinawatra is still alive and well, said red-shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan, as Bangkok was rocked again by intense rumours, fuelled by Thaksin's ex-wife Pojaman Na Pombejra's abrupt overseas trip, that the ousted leader had died.
The couple's children and Pojaman were in Hong Kong yesterday, but their next stop could not be verified. The Manager website reported that Thaksin's state was the family's reason for travelling.
Earlier yesterday, an aide of Pojaman denied that her trip had anything to do with Thaksin.
