Irish Flame is hot favourite with punters DAVID MOLLETT Racing Editor IRISH Flame, a son of Durban July winner Dynasty, is being backed to topple the favourite, Pierre Jourdan, in tomorrow's R1,5m SA Derby at Turffontein.

Irish Flame is the one the punters are coming for and they seem wary of backing Pierre Jourdan at evens. If the trend continues, his price could go out to as much as 15-10, said bookmaker Lance Michael yesterday.

Pierre Jourdan has won the first two legs of the Triple Crown and victory in tomorrow's derby will see the R60000 buy take the R2m bonus for capturing all three legs.
