30 April 2010 - Swedish telecoms equipment maker Ericsson AB (STO: ERIC B) said late on Thursday it will be the sole provider of all 3G CDMA equipment to US operator Cross Wireless.

No financial details were available.

Oklahoma-based Cross Wireless, doing business as Sprocket Wireless, will convert its current GSM network to 3G CDMA in the second half of 2010.

Ericsson will plan, design and deploy the radio access network and a converged packet backbone network for the new service.
