In dressage, top Dutch horse Salinero is off work, recovering from an injury which is taking longer to heal than expected.

Ridden by Anky van Grunsven, the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding got cast in his stable and was found with a swelling on the withers the following morning. Originally, it was thought it would take three weeks to heal but Anky's husband, Sjef Janssen said: "The capsule and cartilage of the withers are damaged, and, after a-week-and-a-half recovery, there is no improvement. Anky will not be sitting on him for at least a month."
