MEMORIES of World War II will be rekindled at a north-east town during a special exhibition over the weekend.
The Salmon Bothy community venue at Portsoy has organised a display of memorabilia, photographs and other items relevant to the dark days of the conflict.
The exhibits were loaned by local people who were invited to contribute to the event called Portsoy Keeps Calm and Carries On.
Bothy manager Leanne Watt said: 'We have various items including photographs, newspaper articles, diaries, letters and artefacts such as a child's gas mask.
