OW Yao Han established himself as one of the finest boys' doubles players in the World Junior Championships when he defended his title with Yew Hong Kheng in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Sunday.

Yao Han, who partnered Chooi Kah Ming to win the crown last year, had an easier job with Hong Kheng as they overcame compatriots Nelson Heg-Teo Ee Yi 21-18, 21-15 in 29 minutes.

Only Chan Chong Ming, boys' doubles winner in 1996 with Jeremy Gan and in 1998 with Teo Kok Seng and the mixed doubles crown with Joanne Quay, has won more titles in the major junior event.
