Possible street changes have the public's focus.

The crowd's interest had little to do with pipes and retained water. People came to voice their opinions about a part of the plan far more visible and sure to affect their daily lives:

A roundabout at Dearborn Street and Old Englewood Road.

A bunch of one-way streets.

Roundabouts are always controversial. And, in this case, there's a tight fit at that intersection, especially when drivers pull boats through to launch at Indian Mound Park.

Plus, traffic generally enters the intersection from only two directions, so flow is hardly a problem.
