To encourage hope and joy as people put their heads on pillows at night, the Sew Worth It store joined a nationwide One Million Pillowcase Challenge to create and donate whimsical or calming pillowcases.
The day-long event April 13 attracted both skilled regulars at the sewing center and newcomers looking for a creative and worthwhile outlet.
For the One Million Pillowcase Challenge event, clients could bring their own machine or use one in the classroom.
