from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 -- The choice of international actor Datuk Michelle Yeoh as an icon for reading for young Malaysians, especially for the Chinese, was announced by the National Library (PNM) today.
"As a result of the choice it is hoped that the Chinese read more and that the general Malaysian society do so too," said the PNM in a statement today.
"Via such choice it is hoped that the spirit of reading can be enhanced," so stated the statement today.
