OMITAMA, Ibaraki--The first domestic regular flight went into service at Ibaraki Airport in Omitama on Friday, more than a month after the airport opened.

The Skymark Airline flight from Kobe landed at the airport at 9:35 a.m. The budget carrier makes one round trip a day between Omitama and Kobe.

The airport's only other regular service is a round-trip flight to Seoul operated by South Korea's Asiana Airlines.
