EVERY April Lancashire players face the same question - is this finally the year? Despite all the world-class players who have worn the Red Rose with pride over the decades - it is 76 years since Lancashire last won the County Championship.

And for a club of its stature and support, that is far too long.

For long spells the failure to find the Holy Grail was tempered by success after success in one-day cricket. But it is now 11 years since Lancashire last won major silverware - and that needs to be rectified.
