BAGUIO CITY - Citing "security risks and costs," the Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the transfer of the Maguindanao murder trial venue to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in Taguig City from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Quezon City.
In a resolution released yesterday, the court said the decision was based on the petition filed by the Department of Justice.
"The holding of the trial at the BJMP premises... will serve the best interest of justice, considering that the proximity to possible danger to civilians and institutions or establishments within and near Camp Crame (PNP …
