The two Courts Martial at Navy Headquarters, designed to hear charges against General Sarath Fonseka adjourned their sittings on Tuesday.

The first Court Martial, presided by Major General H.L Weerathunga was to try General Fonseka on charges against his participation in political work while in active service after its maiden sittings on March 16th was adjourned until Tuesday (6). Major General A.L.R Wijethunga and Major General D.R.A.B Jayathilake are serving as other members. The sittings are to resume on 5 May 2010.
