from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency KUALA TERENGGANU, April 6 (Bernama)-- The first sitting of the third term of the Terengganu state assembly today rejected a motion on the withdrawal of oil royalty that was raised by the Opposition for debate.

State assembly speaker Datuk Tengku Putera Tengku Awang said even though the issue was urgent and of importance it needed to be debated now.

"After studying the matter in detail I find that the issue raised on the matter did not need to be debated now, firstly because negotiations on the oil royalty between the state government and the federal government are still on-going.
