Foreign chambers preparing road map for seven key sectors.

Foreign business groups will next week present recommendations to boost the Philippines' competitiveness in seven key industries after gathering feedback from over 300 stakeholders.

The compiled prescriptions, which largely focus on investment barriers, will be presented to business leaders before a road map is finalized and submitted to the new administration in June, an official from the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) yesterday said.

The event is a follow-up to the group's June 2009 study which urged the government to undertake investment policy reforms ahead of a global economic recovery.
