A medical practitioner from Riau told a seminar organized by Pelita Ilmu Foundation in Jakarta on Tuesday that there were only two hospitals in his province willing to perform cesarean operations on women with HIV/AIDS.
The procedure is encouraged to prevent HIV transmission from the mother to the newborn.
