Nersa urged to raise quota for solar power plants Pretoria IT WAS a concern that the National Energy Regulator of SA (Nersa) had allocated only 50MW for concentrated solar plants (CSPs) by 2013, the Southern Africa Solar Thermal and Electricity Association (Sastela) said yesterday. The current project pipeline under development is between 500MW and 1000MW ... We recommend that Nersa revises the CSP allocation to 500MW by 2013, Sastela spokesman Pancho Ndebele told Nersa's hearing in Pretoria on the selection criteria for projects under the Refit (renewable energy feed-in tariff) programme.
