CELTIC skipper Scott Brown has revealed that Dutch surgeon Niek van Dijk saved his Parkhead career with a make-or-break operation in December.
The 24-year-old (left) midfielder went under the knife in England for an ankle injury last summer after being given injections to get through last season, but broke down again during the 1-0 home loss to Europa League rivals Hamburg in October.
He admits he feared for the future as medics failed to find a solution and has detailed the debt he owes to van Dijk for sorting his problem out for good.
